Well, BMW has gone a bit berserk on the photos they’ve sent us – plus a video of the Coupe – so we thought it was probably sensible to put this lot up separately from the main story and press release. It seems highly unlikely that with this much effort the MINI Coupe is going to stay a concept for very long. For us, it is the first sensible extension of the whole MINI concept and should be a big seller – but it won’t be cheap – think in the region of £30k.
South African police have managed to arrest, try and convict a man for the brutal murder of Uwe Gemballa – all in the space of a day. Thaibiso Mpshe, 28, from Pretoria, was convicted for the murder or Gemballa, whose body was found in October 2010. He had been shot in the back of the head.
The fictional Italian grand marque 1958 Pignatelli sports car has joined the lineup for the 2012 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. The 17th-annual event will celebrate the cartoon vehicle's 100th anniversary, 46 years early, in March.
